Monday: Roots Quiz and T. J. Eckleburg’s Eyes

Today we started with 25 minutes for the Roots quiz.

Then we moved into a discussion about Dr. T. J. Eckleburg’s eyes and how they function within the novel.

HW: Wednesday we will focus on character development.  Please be ready.

HW: Read, annotate, and work on the SG for TBE- Due May 2.

Wednesday: GG Character

Today in class we looked at characters.

• Which characters are dynamic? Static?
• Close examination of dynamic characters… (15-20 statements regarding as a table group)
• Close examination of static/major character (each table group had a different character- 15 statements)
• Character web showing relationships to the dynamic character.  On an A4 sheet of paper- map it out. This is individual work.

HW: Finish the work from class before Monday.

HW: Read, annotate, and work on the SG for TBE- Due May 2.

HW: Green light, cars, East/West Egg, and NYC examination for Monday.
