Tuesday: What is the American Dream?

Today we look at three songs and evaluate what the text show us about the American Dream.

 

 

You have a hard copy of the lyrics to evaluate.

HW: Find a different text type (not a song or song lyrics) that demonstrates the American Dream.  Bring enough copies of the text for everyone in class. You need to bring a transcript if it is a clip from a movie or other visual text. 

HW: Start reading “The Great Gatsby”.  You need to complete 10 pages a day to be done by March 14th.  Please make sure you are annotating the text.

HW: You have the study guide for GG.  Work on it as you read.
