General reminders– FOA proposals are due Wednesday; there will be a CAD quiz Wednesday; IOCs continue this week; reading journals are due Friday and you need 9 entries for full credit.

Worked on “Anne Hathaway” and discussed the characteristics of CAD as a poet at large. Key concepts today: Repetition, parallel structure, register, simile and metaphor.

Assignment: We are working on WT1– Your task is to choose one of the poems we have looked at in this portion of the poetry unit and write an epistolary exchange between two characters. You must write between 800-1000 words. Please be sure that you show me that you understand the character through your selection of word choice and topics the two characters discuss. This should be completed in draft form by Tuesday next week.
